Chapter History:
The Cape Canaveral Chapter was formed on October 21, 1967.  Over the past 42 years, the Chapter
has been serving the needs of safety, health, and environmental professionals on the Space Coast in
Brevard, Indian River, Volusia, and Flagler Counties.  In 2003, students of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical
University expressed a desire to start a Student Chapter and were officially recognized by ASSE in
2004 paving the way for the first joint Membership Meeting, November 2004,  with their sponsoring
chapter, the Cape Canaveral Chapter.

Chapter Mission:
The mission of the Chapter is to promote the advancement of professions in all areas of industrial,
construction, and public safety, health and environmental protection.
